Several days without snow and with some sunshine! Ahhhh!
I can feel the whole area relaxing. People are smiling and
being nicer. Cabin fever has ruled for some time out here. I
kept thinking this is not Alaska but it feels like it. I was getting
my exercise pacing around the house waiting for spring. I
know, it may not be over yet. Just let me enjoy my illusion.
I am a lucky person right now to be psychic. I was sleeping
the other morning when I heard a voice that sounded like a
cross between my mother and my daughter hollering my
name over and over. I was really annoyed because I was
really tired, I had no dog to walk, and I did not feel like getting
up. Whoever it was kept yelling at me until I sat up mad...then
I realized the house was frigid! Groggy and goofy I still
dragged myself out of bed and turned off the furnace. I called
the gas company and the furnace repairman.
I got dressed quickly and had to use my inhalers. I thought I
was having asthma attacks because the house was so cold.
The furnace man arrived and discovered three big cracks in
the shield that keeps carbon monoxide from mixing with the
air that circulates in the house. He told me I must have friends
in high places because usually they only see furnaces
damaged like that when they are investigating what killed a
houseful of people. He patched it and promised to return with
a new part the next day.
I still did not have the good sense to leave the house. I went
to work and noticed I felt somewhat better but returned home
and spent the night again. I was not feeling as bad the next
day but was still groggy. The furnace is now repaired and I
feel awesome. In case you are wondering I did have an alarm
but it malfunctioned. I now have new ones and one right
beside the furnace. I am one lucky lady that I have friends in
high places. It is taking a while to get better but when I think
of what could have happened!
Herbie came to visit so that I could find out if I am allergic to
him. He is a funny dog. 10 months old all feet and personality.
He has been trained partly somewhere along the way and
learns quickly. He now has a permanent home at my house.
I am glad he wasn't here yet when the furnace malfunctioned!
He is curled up on the floor snoring politely. (Photo below.)
Lady is still sorely missed but Herbie will make another
lovely furry friend.
Now to spring meditations. Use quiet images starting now. As
the earth's energy takes off you want really quiet, easy going
images, and don't pull in energy hard or you will get all
revved up.
My former home town of Chillan, Chile (near Concepcion), and
the rest of Chile are suffering greatly from the earthquake and
all the aftershocks. Please keep the people of Chile in your
prayers. Funny how much worse the quake was and the
coverage is smaller. What's up with that?
